Fixing a hole
The only way to get LA infrastructure fixed in a timely matter is by pleading on social media
The goal is to improve the downtown experience by 2028 by "linking key locations with safer, cleaner, and greener streets, parks, public spaces, and transit hubs"
"If you think that somehow a bigger convention center is key to downtown revitalization, or is going to do wonders for local job creation, or economic development? The answer is, you've got to be kidding"
How can LA come together when officials are so averse to people spontaneously gathering that the city's first reaction is to take more public space away?
"This was originally supposed to be a 'no-build' Olympics, and that's what the commitment was to the public"
